People Before Profit-Solidarity
We need to break from FF & FG's market-obsessive ideology that is failing people on housing, healthcare, education and cost of living while giving massive profits to food & enery companies, and turning houses in Ireland to one more asset for big banks. PBP won't go into government with FF or FG.
Priority: Housing
Ban vulture funds & investors bulk buying property, tax vacant homes meaningfully (20% not 0.3%), rent controls, a state construction company.
Priority: Environment, energy, agriculture
Ban construction of new data centres. Existing data centres are using 18% of electricity in Ireland, way beyond EU average of 2%.
Priority: Environment, energy, agriculture
Renationalise energy sector. State-run ESB offered lowest electricity prices in Europe in 90s before marketisation of sector. Now prices are highest.
