Limerick needs a progressive & hardworking Independent TD free from a party whip. I intend to address the rural crime epidemic, promote rural development, address the appalling conditions in our hospitals, protect the elderly & vulnerable and promote Limerick.
Election history:
On the 25th of May 2014 I was privileged to be elected as a first time Independent Councillor for the Adare - Rathkeale Electoral Area in the local elections. I topped the poll with 2270 votes attracting 19% of the first preference votes. I was elected on the first count.
Priorities:
- County Limerick needs to be assigned more Gardai and these Garda need to be community based to prevent crime and dispel fear.
- County Limerick needs industrial investment and agricultural development. We need a distinct Limerick Food brand and broadband for SME development
- Limerick's health service needs radical action. Trolley numbers in A&e remain high, adequate childcare is needed & cuts to the vulnerable must stop
