Main message to voters:
We need fairness, equality and a balanced recovery. The West coast has been ignored and we need new life to deliver the services required to our people.
Election history:
First contested the 2009 local election as one of the youngest Independent candidates in Ireland @ 23 and polled 474 votes. I then contested the 2011 GE unsuccessfully before topping the poll in 2014 with 850 first preference votes in the local election - all as an Independent.
Priorities:
- The establishment of an independent stand alone department to address mental health issues and the unfortunate rise in suicide across society.
- Provide social and affordable housing for our constituency. We have been ignored and a crisis has been allowed develop leaving families homeless.
- We need to tackle the serious rise in heroin abuse. Minimum sentencing for those with this drug for sale or supply must be introduced.
