Since 2011 I have served the people of Galway West and Mayo South as TD. I am a member of the Oireachtas Committee on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation and Vice-Chair of the Oireachtas Committee on EU Affairs. From 2004 - 2011 I served as a Councillor on Galway County Council for the Connemara Area.
