I feel the Irish people have suffered long enough from extreme austerity measures. I would stand for the abolition of water charges and the property tax. We have a housing crisis and a health crisis which needs to be dealt with immediately. We need to take on the 1% for a recovery for the 99%!
Election history:
I became involved in the campaign against the household charge that followed on into the property tax and also against the extreme austerity measures that were foisted on the Irish people. I ran as a AAA candidate in last years local elections and polled 600 votes of which 400 were 1st preference.
Priorities:
- Housing- The only solution to the housing crisis is to build social housing across the country. No social housing has been built since 2009.
- Health- It is appalling to watch elderly and sick people, also people with cancer and Alzheimer's and other age related illness left on trolleys.
- Property tax- I feel this is an insult to force people to pay tax on their home, a tax that is going to fund the bankers, developers and bondholders
