Main message to voters:
I am seeking re-election as your Independent TD. I have worked on many important projects including a new Garda Station for Oranmore and the Garda Divisional Headquarters in Renmore, new schools and funding for the disability sector. I want to continue to represent your interests in Dáil Éireann.
Election history:
I was first elected to Dáil Éireann in 2002 and I was successfully re-elected in 2007 and 2011. I was originally elected to Galway County Council in 1999 and served as a Councillor until my first election to Dáil Éireann.
Priorities:
- More Gardaí and tougher action against crime, particularly repeat offenders.
- More funding to ensure faster access to hospitals and medical services, including the speedy provision of a new Emergency Department at UHG.
- Fast tracking the delivery of additional housing stock to address the serious housing shortfall in Galway and help relieve pressure on rental prices.
