Election history:
I previously served as a member of Galway City Council from 2004 to 2009. I was first to propose a local authority sports grant scheme for clubs. I campaigned for increased levels of social housing and proposed transport solutions to help deal with city's traffic congestion. I work as a teacher.
Priorities:
- Crime is seriously affecting businesses and residents. Galway City has 16 fewer Garda than in 2010. I want Garda levels brought back to 2010 level.
- UHG needs a new A&E unit with appropriate resources to staff the unit. I also want to see the commencement of the new acute mental health unit at UHG.
- Services for children with disabilities are non-existent. I want a service that supports families with the health and education of their children.
